Debit Card Car Hire at Muscat International Airport
All major debit and credit cards, issued by either American Express, Mastercard and Visa are accepted. All cards presented must be in the renter's name.
Prepaid cards and cash are not accepted as methods of payment. Prepaid cards can be used to settle any outstanding balances at the end of the rental. A security deposit plus the estimated cost of the rental will be taken at the time of rental.
If using a debit card for the security deposit or any of the above amounts, the available funds in the account associated with the renter's debit card will be reduced by those amounts. Additionally, the renter is responsible for any overdraft fees incurred. If the renter does not have any of the acceptable forms of payment listed above and chooses to use a debit card for the security deposit, the amount will be treated as a one-time, non-refundable charge. This condition will form an integral part of the rental agreement and shall be deemed accepted upon signing of the agreement.
Please note that payment for the rental or deposit via digital card or a mobile wallet such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay etc. will not be accepted at the hire desk. The lead driver must present a physical payment card in their name.
Please be aware that if you use your debit card for the security deposit and/or the fuel deposit it can take up to 30 days for this to reach your account once it has been refunded by the car hire supplier at the end of the rental. This is due to international banking systems not due to delays by either the car hire company or Clarify Car Hire.
