Reykjavik Airport Car Hire
This is an airport offering mostly domestic flights with just a limited number serving international destinations. The main international airport is Keflavik. There are only three airlines using Reykjavik airport, Air Iceland Connect, Eagle Air and Atlantic Airways. There are international flights to Greenland and the Faroe Islands. There are 11 domestic destinations.
Where are the car hire desks at Reykjavik airport?
There are car hire desks within the terminal building - just look out for the car rental signs - but, as this is only a smaller domestic airport, many of the cars are kept off airport. Check your own car hire booking for instructions on where to go when you get to the airport. There will be a shuttle bus if needed to collect your car. Shuttle bus journeys take between 10-15 minutes.
At Reykjavik airport
As this is mainly a domestic airport, there are not as many services available compared to Keflavik, the main international airport in Iceland. There is a cafeteria in Air Iceland Connect's terminal which supplies a range to drink or eat. If you will require special assistance as you travel through the airport, you are advised to let them know well in advance so they can make sure your time at the airport goes smoothly.
