Linz Airport Car Hire
Sometimes referred to as the Blue Danube airport, Linz airport is located in the third largest city in Austria. The first airport here was built in 1955 with the first international flights to Frankfurt in 1966. In 2017 there were over 400,000 passengers using Linz airport. Lufthansa are one of the fewer major airlines to use this location but there are several budget airlines running services here including Eurowings and Ryanair. Most international flights are to Germany with a few to other destinations such as Hurghada and Paris.
Where are the car hire desks at Linz Airport?
The car hire offices at Linz airport are all located in Main car park 1 just across the road from the terminal building. You will need to have you car hire voucher, driving licence and credit card with you when you pick up your car. If you want to avoid all your party standing in a queue for car hire, you could send the driver ahead while the remaining party wait for the baggage.

Places to eat are limited at Linz as it is only a small airport. There is a cafe and a shop which sells snacks and drinks and a more formal restaurant. Duty Free is available for purchase. The airport offers free wifi, just select the 'blue danube airport' network. Young children are well catered for with a play area in the transit zone. There are several ATMs throughout the airport.
