Shannon Airport Car Hire
Shannon airport lies 15 miles west of Limerick and 14 miles south of Ennis. Its westerly position makes it the ideal airport for exploring the counties of Clare, Limerick, Tipperary and down to Cork and Kerry in the far south west. There is just the one terminal so everything is close at hand and easy to find. Ryanair, Aer Lingus as well as larger airlines such as United Airlines and SAS fly into Shannon Airport.
Where are the car hire desks at Shannon Airport?
The main car hire desks are located either side of the exit in the arrivals hall. There is also a pre-booked car hire desk close to the amusement arcade. Check the paperwork given to you by your car hire company as they may give special instructions. There are a few car hire companies whose desks are located a shuttle bus ride away.
Where can I collect/drop off the car at Shannon Airport?
This depends on the company you have booked with. Some hirers are based at the airport itself while others are off airport. If yours is further away, you will need to take a shuttle bus to collect your car. Look out for the signs to the shuttle bus pick up point or check at the car hire desk to find out where they are located. It is only a short distance to the car parks and it is a free service.
