Debit Card Car Hire at Tirana Airport
Accepted credit cards for deposit and payment are Credit Cards Mastercard and Visa only.
Accepted cards for the final payment (but not the security deposit) are American Express, Pre-Paid (VISA / Mastercard), electronic use cards and debit cards. Other cards are not accepted for deposit or payment.
Debit cards are accepted for security deposit with Premium and Premium Plus packages.
The accepted cards listed above must be in the main driver’s name, have sufficient funds to cover the excess liability, and have an expiration date at least 2 months beyond the return date of the rental. If a valid card is not provided, the booking may be cancelled, and no refund will be issued for any prepaid amount.
In the event that the original booking was paid for utilising a third-party credit or debit card, hirers may be required to present details, permissions and authorisation relating to the transaction. Failure to provide the information requested may result in the hire being refused.
Please be aware that if you use your debit card for the security deposit and/or the fuel deposit it can take up to 30 days for this to reach your account once it has been refunded by the car hire supplier at the end of the rental. This is due to international banking systems not due to delays by either Green Motion or Clarify Car Hire.
Please note that payment for the rental or deposit via a mobile wallet such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay etc. will not be accepted at the hire desk. The lead driver must present a physical payment card in their name.
For security purposes, they are required to provide a pre-authorisation for a deposit amount equal to 100% of the deductible. The security deposit and deductible will be processed exclusively through the credit card provided by the customer, or the additional driver listed on, and who has signed the contract. In the event that there are no incidents involving the vehicle, the excess deposit or pre-authorisation will be automatically released by the bank at the end of the contract.
The main driver must have a Card in their own name when collecting the vehicle. This card must have sufficient available credit to cover the excess / deposit amount (which will be pre-authorised on the Card throughout the hire period) which can take up to 30 days to be returned depending on the issuing bank of the card and neither OK Mobility nor Clarify Car Hire take any responsibility if the amount returned is not the same as the amount taken due to exchange rate fluctuations and/or bank charges.
Any local charges, extras or other equipment or services purchased at the car hire desk will also be charged to the card.
