Visa, Mastercard and American Express credit cards are accepted. Maestro cards cannot be accepted. Prepaid Debit/Credit cards or cash will not be accepted in any circumstances. Cards don't have to be embossed. Mastercard and Visa Debit cards (embossed or unembossed) are allowed, but the full deposit will be taken on pickup and refunded at the end of the rental. This refund can take up to 30 days to be received back to your account once it has been refunded by the car hire supplier at the end of the rental. This is due to international banking systems not due to delays by either the car rental company or Clarify Car Hire. Therefore, we recommend the Excess Waiver package for such bookings, where no deposit is taken.
Please note that payment for the rental or deposit via a mobile wallet such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay etc. will not be accepted at the hire desk. The lead driver must present a physical payment card in their name.
Payment must be made with Visa / Visa Electron (credit or debit) or MasterCard (credit or debit) cards.Credit/Debit cards must be nominative. Prepaid cards, American Express, Maestro or Diners Club are not accepted.
Centauro accept debit cards with their standard package. Please be aware that if you intend on using a debit card, the full deposit amount will be charged to your debit card. On the return of the vehicle, Centauro will refund the deposit if there is no damage to the vehicle, however, this amount can take up to 30 days to get back into your account. In addition, you may not receive the same amount back in GBP as was left as the deposit, this is due to exchange rate fluctuations and bank charges. Centauro and Clarify Car Hire take no responsibility if the amount returned is less than was debited at the beginning of the rental.
(Due to fluctuations in the rate of exchange and other bank charges, Centauro will not be responsible for any difference between the rate charged and on any refunds made.)
For groups C2 - S1 - S1A - S2 - S2A - S3 - S3A - S10, two credit cards will be required to be presented at the desk as a guarantee to collect the vehicle.
In Portugal, a deposit of € 100 will be made from the credit or debit card as a deposit to cover possible Via Verde toll charges. This charge will be refunded to your card at the end of the rental within a period of approximately 10 days.

All services must be paid for by credit card VISA, MASTERCARD or debit card. OK Mobility will accept credit cards regardless if the numbering is embossed or not. Other payment forms are not accepted. The card must be in the name of the lead driver. Cash payment is not allowed. The security and fuel deposit amount will be taken through the card provided by the customer. Should there be no damage or incident with the vehicle, this deposit will be released automatically at the end of the rental. Unless the Premium Package is taken a Visa, Mastercard Credit Card is mandatory. The main driver must have a Card in their own name when collecting the vehicle. This card must have sufficient available credit to cover the deposit amount (which will be pre-authorised on the Card throughout the hire period) which can take up to 30 days to be returned depending on the issuing bank of the card. Any local charges, extras or other equipment or services purchased at the car hire desk will also be charged to the card.
If the Premium Package is taken, you can use a Visa, Maestro or Mastercard debit card - you will be asked to leave details of your card on pickup. Please note, this deposit may take up to thirty (30) days to be returned to your debit card depending on the issuing bank of the card and neither OK Mobility nor Clarify Car Hire take any responsibility if the amount returned is not the same as the amount taken due to exchange rate fluctuations and/or bank charges. The card must be in the main driver's name. Any local charges, extras or other equipment or services purchased at the car hire desk will also be charged to the card.

All major credit cards are accepted. American Express are accepted but please be aware that s fee of 5% of the total cost will be levied for using an American Express card. They will also accept UK debit cards for payment purposes (not Electron or unembossed cards), please note non-UK debit cards cannot be accepted. The debit card will need to have the ability to be pre-authorised for tolls, uninsured losses or traffic fines, if your debit card cannot be pre-authorised you will not be able to hire with it. For the security deposit, a credit card will be required unless the Total Protection Package is taken. If full insurance (Total Protection - SCDW Plus) is taken this will reduce the excess and reduce the deposit required. A swipe of your credit card will be taken, but no charge is made unless you become liable for charges such as tolls, uninsured losses or traffic fines. With the Total Protection Package, you may use a debit card for the deposit but please note that the card must include a Card Verification Value number CVV. Cards without a CVV number cannot be accepted.
If full insurance is NOT taken however the deposit will be pre-authorised to your credit card - this means you will have to ensure there is sufficient money on the card to cover the deposit and be aware that this will be blocked until it is refunded. It can take longer to clear the money than a credit card with a period of 30 days being typical. This is due to the processes employed by banks rather than any delay from the car hire company. Due to the period, this can take we recommend considering taking full insurance as most customers find this more convenient.
