Prepaid and Systematic Authorisation cards will not be accepted as part of the qualification checks, and you will be required to present a valid Visa, Mastercard or American Express credit card or debit card for pre-authorisation.
A pre-authorisation will be taken on a valid Visa, Mastercard, or Amex card. This amount ranges from €250 to €2000, depending on the vehicle category, in addition to the rental cost. All cards used must be valid for at least one month beyond the vehicle return date.
For Premium and Luxury vehicles, the deposit must be taken in full on 1 credit card. If a debit card is presented, then an additional one with the same first and last name should be presented. In this case, the deposit will be 1000 EUR on each card.
Please be aware that if you use your debit card for the security deposit and/or the fuel deposit it can take up to 30 days for this to reach your account once it has been refunded by the car hire supplier at the end of the rental. This is due to international banking systems not due to delays by either the car rental company or Clarify Car Hire.
Please note that payment for the rental or deposit via a mobile wallet such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay etc. will not be accepted at the hire desk. The lead driver must present a physical payment card in their name.
