Alamo will conduct qualification checks on you, the hirer, according to their best practices prior to the commencement of your vehicle hire. Prepaid and Systematic Authorisation cards will not be accepted as part of the qualification checks, and you will be required to present a valid Visa, Mastercard or American Express credit card or debit card for pre-authorisation.
A pre-authorisation will be taken on a valid Visa, Mastercard, or Amex card. This amount ranges from €250 to €2000, depending on the vehicle category, in addition to the rental cost. All cards used must be valid for at least one month beyond the vehicle return date.
For Premium and Luxury vehicles, the deposit must be taken in full on 1 credit card. If a debit card is presented, then an additional one with the same first and last name should be presented. In this case, the deposit will be 1000 EUR on each card.
Please be aware that if you use your debit card for the security deposit and/or the fuel deposit it can take up to 30 days for this to reach your account once it has been refunded by the car hire supplier at the end of the rental. This is due to international banking systems not due to delays by either the car rental company or Clarify Car Hire.
Please note that payment for the rental or deposit via a mobile wallet such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay etc. will not be accepted at the hire desk. The lead driver must present a physical payment card in their name.

Unless the Premium Package is taken a Visa, Mastercard Credit Card is mandatory. The main driver must have a Card in their own name when collecting the vehicle. This card must have sufficient available credit to cover the deposit amount (which will be pre-authorised on the Card throughout the hire period) which can take up to 30 days to be returned depending on the issuing bank of the card. Any local charges, extras or other equipment or services purchased at the car hire desk will also be charged to the card.
If the Premium Package is taken, you can use a Visa or Mastercard debit card - you will be asked to leave details of your card on pickup. Please note, this deposit may take up to thirty (30) days to be returned to your debit card depending on the issuing bank of the card and neither OK Mobility nor Clarify Car Hire take any responsibility if the amount returned is not the same as the amount taken due to exchange rate fluctuations and/or bank charges. The card must be in the main driver's name. Any local charges, extras or other equipment or services purchased at the car hire desk will also be charged to the card.
